Safety

Routes should be fun, public, walkable, and safe

Location games influence where people physically go. WhereQuest treats stop safety, private sharing, and host responsibility as product features, not fine print.

Private first

The MVP is designed for invite-only games. Public route discovery will need stronger verification, moderation, and takedown controls before launch.

Safe stop checklist

Hosts should place stops where players can stand safely without trespassing, crossing unsafe traffic, blocking emergency access, climbing, entering water, or approaching strangers.

  • Avoid private homes unless all players are invited guests.
  • Avoid schools, emergency access points, construction areas, railways, cliffs, unsafe water edges, and restricted property.
  • Use larger radiuses when GPS signal is weak or the location is open outdoor space.

Driving routes

Car or EV routes should never reward speed. Players should park safely before reading clues or solving tasks.
